The story of Rosie
Rosie was not restored by us, she was a 1970 Californian LHD microbus import which was restored (body work, interior and new 1600 twin port engine and the steering, rear & front suspension rebuilt) for a Daily Star competition. A young lady won her but she was too young to drive! Rosie lived in her dad's garage until she was old enough for her provisional licence and she chose to sell her to fund her first car. We have improved her further with CSP disc brake conversion, adjustable front suspension (Red 9 coil over kit) and Vintage Speed quick shift for precise gear change fitted by the super chaps at VW Halifax Restorations. She has provided us with great fun and continues to be used for club runs and camping trips.
